After trailing 14-1 in the second quarter, Yankton rode a career game from junior Dylan Prouty to a 50-46 comeback victory over Mitchell last night in the opening round of the Class AA Boys Basketball state tournament. Prouty came off the bench to hit seven three-point baskets and lead the Bucks with 25 points, while senior Matthew Mors added 17 points. Yankton will face Sioux Falls Roosevelt tonight at 8:30 Central time in the second AA semifinal, and our broadcast with Sports Director Bryce Ladwig starts at 8:00 Central time on KYNT Sports. Sioux Falls Washington and O’Gorman will meet in the first Double-A semifinal.
