SD Boys State Basketball Tournaments Begin Today

The South Dakota High School basketball state tournaments get started today.

The Class AA boys tourney begins at 1:00 Central time at the Rushmore Plaza Civic Center in Rapid City.  The second-seed Yankton Bucks face the Mitchell Kernels tonight at 6:00 Central time.  Our broadcast of Bucks basketball with Sports Director Bryce Ladwig begins at 5:30 p-m on KYNT Sports.

The Class A state tournament is being held at the Sanford Premier Center in Sioux Falls.  Today’s first game at noon features the unbeaten and top-seed Vermillion Tanagers against Dell Rapids.

The Class B boys tournament takes place at the Barnett Center in Aberdeen.  Today at 2:30, fourth-seed Viborg-Hurley takes on Lyman.

Each team will play three games at their state tournaments with the championship games coming up Saturday evening.
