The Yankton Bucks basketball squad is preparing for this week’s Class Double-A state basketball tournament in Rapid City. The Bucks are the number-two seed after an 18 and 3 season as they take on seventh-seed Mitchell which is 15 and 6 overall at 6:00 Central time on Thursday. Yankton defeated the Kernels 53-44 on February 19th at the Summit Activities Center.
Vermillion is the top-seed in the Class A boys basketball tournament this week after going unbeaten in 22 games this winter. The Tanagers will face eighth-seed Dell Rapids at Noon Thursday in the Class A tourney in Sioux Falls.
