The Crofton girls basketball team outscored Ponca 12-4 in the fourth quarter to win their ninth state basketball championship Saturday night in Lincoln. The Lady Warriors downed Ponca 46-42 in the Class C-2 championship as Alexis Folkers and Jayden Jordan each scored 11 points and seniors Lacey Sprakel and Kaley Einrem combined for 16 points and 15 rebounds in the win. Crofton ended up 26-3 in their state title season, while Ponca was 21-5 in placing second at the C-2 girls tournament in back-to-back years.
