Hartington Cedar Catholic will host Wakefield tonight at 7:00 in a District Boys basketball final. The Trojans are seeded sixth in the state with an 18-6 record, while Wakefield is 21-6 overall and the 11th seed. The winner advances to the Boys state tournament next week in Lincoln.
The brackets were released for this week’s Nebraska Girls basketball state tourney in Lincoln. Top-seed Crofton faces Centennial at 11 AM Wednesday in Class C-2. The Hartington Cedar Catholic girls are the third-seed in Class D-1 and face South Platte at 6:30 PM Wednesday, and defending state champion Wynot is seeded sixth in Class D-2 and meets CWC at 6:30 PM on Wednesday.
