The Yankton Bucks topped Douglas 68-49 on Saturday at the Summit Activities Center to end the regular season with a 17-3 record. Senior Matthew Mors paced Yankton with 28 points and 10 rebounds, while sophomore Drew Ryken chipped in 9 points and 5 rebounds. The Bucks will host a SoDak playoff game on Saturday against Douglas with the winner qualifying for the state tourney in Rapid City.
The Yankton Gazelles ended up their season with a big victory, rolling past Douglas 46-19 on Saturday. Freshman Claire Tereshinski led the Gazelles with 11 points and junior Kate Beeman added 8 points and 5 rebounds. The Yankton girls finished the season at 2-18 overall and missed the playoffs by one spot.
