The Yankton Gazelles finished in eighth place Saturday at the Class AA state gymnastics meet in Watertown. Mitchell won the title with a 147.8 score, four points better than Watertown, while the Gazelles had a 134.1 score. Yankton junior Alison Johnson earned an all-tournament medal with a ninth place in the All-Around and she tied for third on the vault. On Friday, Deuel won the Class A gymnastics title with Wagner-Bon Homme taking third and Vermillion eighth.
