Jamestown hit seven three-point baskets in the opening minutes of the second half and pulled away from Mount Marty 93-66 in men’s basketball on Saturday. Jailen Billings had 19 points and Elijah Pappas scored all 18 of his points in the first half for Mount Marty, who stayed in eighth place with a GPAC record of 4-12.
The Lancer women’s basketball team shot only 27 percent for the game and lost a 90-47 decision at Jamestown on Saturday. The Mount Marty women are 2-14 in the conference, and the Lancers have a GPAC twin bill at Midland on Wednesday.
