Former Yankton Gazelles state champion Jaiden Boomsma is excelling as a freshman for the South Dakota State Indoor Track squad. Boomsma took first place in the long jump at the USD Invitational in the Dome and she finished third in the 60-meter dash. In that meet, Coyote pole vaulter Ethan Bray won his event with the second best leap in the NCAA this season. Callie Henrich was a double winner for USD as she took first in the shot put and weight throw.
