Class A top-ranked Dakota Valley defeated West Central 78-70 on Tuesday as all-stater Paul Bruns scored 40 points with 10 rebounds for the unbeaten Panthers. Viborg-Hurley rolled past Alcester-Hudson 56-17 last night as Gradee Sherman paced the Cougars with 22 points and 17 rebounds.
Hartington Cedar Catholic won their fourth straight game with a 65-56 victory over Boone Central last night. Senior Myles Thoene led the Trojans with 27 points, and Cedar Catholic is now 12th in the Class C-2 playoff point standings. Laurel-Concord-Coleridge has moved up to 13th in the Class D-1 point rankings.
