The South Dakota women’s and men’s basketball teams both crushed the University of Denver twice to open the Summit League this weekend.
The Coyote ladies won by scores of 87-47 and 89-74 against Denver over the weekend. Hannah Sherven had a total of 48 points and 19 rebounds for USD, and in the process passed the one-thousand point level in her Coyote career.
The U-S-D men beat Denver by scores of 93-54 and 79-57. A-J Plitzuweit had a big weekend, scoring a total of 50 points for the Coyotes. USD will play twin bills next Saturday and Sunday in Kansas City.
