The South Dakota women’s basketball team scored 30 points in the first quarter last night and routed Midland 89-39 at the Sanford Coyote Sports Center. Hannah Sherven led USD with 14 points, 8 rebounds and 4 blocked shots. The Coyotes are 4-3 on the season and will host Denver at 1:00 both Saturday and Sunday to open the Summit League schedule.
The USD men’s team is 2-6 overall and will host Denver at 4:00 both Saturday and Sunday in Vermillion in league opening games.
