Concordia University scored the first 12 points and defeated Mount Marty 82-71 in men’s basketball last night in Seward, Nebraska. The Lancers shot just 30 percent from three-point range and were out-rebounded by a two-to-one margin as their four-game winning streak was snapped. Elijah Pappas led Mount Marty with 20 points, 6 rebounds and 5 steals while Allen Wilson chipped in 19 points. The Lancers are 6-5 overall, and now sixth place in the GPAC with a 3-3 record. Mount Marty hosts league-leading and unbeaten Dakota Wesleyan Saturday at 2:00 in men’s basketball at the Cimpl Arena.
