The University of South Dakota women’s basketball team battled top-ranked South Carolina to a halftime tie Saturday, but the Gamecocks had a third quarter surge and defeated the Coyotes 81-71 at the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls. Senior Chloe Lamb led USD with 18 points, while senior Hannah Sjerven added 13 points and 12 rebounds. The Coyotes will face 21st-ranaked Gonzaga today at 2:00 in the Pentagon.
