After a two year absence due to health concerns, District 18 Representative-Elect Mike Stevens is returning to Pierre for the 2021 session of the South Dakota Legislature as a member of the House of Representatives.
While he is personally working to get ready for the session, Stevens says another question is how lawmakers will meet during the COVID 19 pandemic.
Stevens says the coronavirus has impacted every aspect of our lives including education.
Stevens says education funding, state employee salaries and compensation for healthcare providers will remain the big issues in the 2021 session.
The South Dakota Legislature convenes for the 2021 session at noon on January 12th.
