Yankton County recorded 34 new positive tests of COVID-19 on Sunday and has had 175 new infections in the first eight days of November. There are now a record-high of 347 active cases of the virus in Yankton County, and another death was confirmed yesterday bringing the total up to eight in Yankton County. Avera Sacred Heart Hospital currently has 13 patients with COVID-19 including six in the intensive care unit.
The state of South Dakota reported a dozen more deaths linked to the coronavirus yesterday including one more each in Bon Homme and Turner Counties. The statewide death toll is 535 in South Dakota. There are record highs of 15,750 active cases of COVID-19 and 546 people currently hospitalized in the state.
There were over three-thousand new positive tests of the virus this weekend in the state of Nebraska where the death toll stands at 703.
