The state basketball double-A tournament begins today despite a no travel advisory for most of the state.  The #2 Yankton Bucks open the tournament today against Huron at 4PM Yankton time.  Huron is rated #8 at the tourney.  The Bucks beat the Tigers earlier in the year 66-60. The other early game is Sioux Falls Lincoln against Harrisburg.  The mid-section of the state is closed today due to the weather, but roads are open in Rapid City and the South Dakota High School Activities Association is expected to hold the tournament, as scheduled.

The Summit Activities Center is closed today, due to the Winter Storm Warning and flooding in the City of Yankton.

Four Coyotes from the South Dakota men’s and women’s track and field teams were named to Academic All-Summit League teams.  The honorees include junior Zack Anderson, a high jumper from Parker; throwing senior Lara Boman; junior Helen Falda of Italy; and senior Eldon Warner in cross country.
