Good music was very apparent in Yankton on Saturday, as 25 bands came to town for the March to the Meridian Band Competition, which starts with the bands marching across the lower level of the Meridian Bridge and down 3rd Street. This year, they marched across the Bridge on her 102nd birthday.

The March to the Meridian is an annual marching band competition which Yankton host, so they do not compete. Wayne State College also performed in exhibition at Crane-Youngworth Field.
