This week is Fire Prevention Week.
Yankton Fire Chief, Tim Linke, says this year’s theme is “Charge into Fire Safety. Safe Charging is a Superpower.”
Linke says the theme focuses on everyday charging habits that can help reduce the risk of lithium-ion battery fires.
Linke says the Yankton Fire Department will be hosting an open house on Wednesday at Fire Station number 2.
Linke says the open house will be held from 5:30 to 7 pm on Wednesday.
