The Yankton Bucks fell to the Watertown Arrows last Friday night, 42-14 in their homecoming football game.
Quarterback Jackson Kudera threw for 229 yards and 2 scores in the loss. Miles Drotzmann and Will Sager had a touchdown each.
The 3-2 Bucks are on the road this week, taking on the Spearfish Spartans. Kickoff from Spearfish is scheduled for 6:00 PM MT/7:00 PM CT on Friday.
The Mount Marty Lancers suffered their 3rd straight loss on Saturday, 42-7 at the hands of Morningside.
The Lancers scored first in the contest, before the Mustangs rattled off 42 unanswered points. Three different Lancers recorded double digit tackles, Brock Lubbers had 13, Cole Cripps had 11, and Arthur Oliver tallied 10.
The Lancers are on the road in Crete, Nebraska, next week to take on the Doane Tigers in GPAC action.
Mount Marty Men’s and Women’s Soccer split their doubleheader with Northwestern on Saturday at Crane-Youngworth Field.
Angelina Hopwood scored a brace in the Lancer women’s 2-0 win over Northwestern, with both shots coming from 30+ yards out.
The Lancer men lost to Northwestern 4-1 in the nightcap. James Starkey scored the lone goal, assisted by Findlay Green.
The Lancer men and women travel to Fremont, Nebraska, on Wednesday for their next GPAC doubleheader against Midland.
Mount Marty Volleyball dropped their GPAC match with the Waldorf Warriors on Saturday, 3-1 in Forest City, Iowa.
The Lancers claimed set two 25-10, but fell in the first, third, and fourth 26-24, 25-14, and 25-22.
Jaya Wachholtz posted a team-high 16 kills in the loss. Caitlin Guenther added 7 kills and 6 blocks for the Lancers.
Mount Marty is back home on Friday to take on Dordt at Cimpl Arena.
The Cedar Catholic Trojans capped off their homecoming week with a 42-0 shutout over Norfolk Catholic on Friday.
Grady Haberer threw for 222 yards and 5 touchdowns in the win. Easton Hochstein was dominant on the ground, rushing for 135 yards and another score.
The now 5-0 Trojans are on the road on Friday, as they take on the 1-4 Battle Creek Braves.
Hartington-Newcastle remained undefeated on Friday with their 56-8 Homecoming victory over Elkhorn Valley.
The Wildcats ran all over the Falcons, recording 403 yards and 8 touchdowns as a team. Jason Heimes led with 171 yards and 2 scores, with Austin Sudbeck tallying 154 yards and 4 touchdowns.
The now 5-0 Wildcats hit the road to take on Gordon-Rushville this Friday afternoon.

The South Dakota Coyotes were handed their second straight loss on Saturday, falling to Youngstown State 47-28.
The Penguins controlled the ground game, rushing for 345 yards as a team, led by Quarterback Beau Brungard’s 170 yards and 3 scores.
The 3-2 Coyotes return home this week for their Dakota Days matchup with Indiana State. Kickoff from the DakotaDome is scheduled for 2:00 PM.
The South Dakota State Jackrabbits improved to 4-1 on Saturday with a 42-7 win over Eastern Illinois.
The Jacks were led by the running back tandem of Josiah Johnson (121 yards and 2 touchdowns) and James Basinger (116 yards and 2 touchdowns) in the win.
SDSU returns to conference play this Saturday, as they travel to Normal, Illinois to take on Illinois State.
The Nebraska Cornhuskers are now 4-0 after Saturday’s 31-13 win over Michigan State in their Big 10 opener.
Nebraska were led by Anthony Colandrea, who finished with 212 yards passing, 66 yards rushing, and a pair of touchdowns.
North Platte, Nebraska, native and walk-on Vincent Genatone helped the Huskers secure victory with 2 touchdowns as well, 1 rushing and 1 receiving.

The Yankton Gazelles travel to Sioux Falls today for the opening day of the ESD Conference Tennis Meet.
The Gazelles enter with a 6-14 overall record in dual play. The event was originally scheduled to be held in Aberdeen, but was moved to an indoor facility, Huether Family Match Pointe in Sioux Falls, due to forecasted weather.
Matches are scheduled to begin at 8:00 AM this morning.
Yankton Bucks Golf travels to Brookings today for the ESD Conference Championships at Brookings Country Club.
The Bucks enter the event after a 1st-place team finish at Watertown last week, shooting 296 as a team.
Tee time from Brookings is scheduled for 10:00 AM this morning.
Yankton Gazelles Volleyball is on the road tomorrow night to take on the Watertown Arrows. First serve from Watertown High School is scheduled for 6:30 PM.
Yankton Bucks and Gazelles Soccer will have their penultimate doubleheader of the regular season tomorrow night against Brandon Valley.
The matches will be held at Brandon Valley High School. The girls play first at 5:00 PM with the boys to follow.
Yankton Competitive Cheer and Dance will be in Sioux Falls tomorrow for the O’Gorman Invite. Events will begin at 5:00 PM at O’Gorman High School.
