The Yankton Morning Optimist Club hosted a state of education event for Mount Marty University and the Yankton School District on Thursday.
MMU President, Dr. Mark Brown, says the Yankton campus has 577 students, while they have 1,370 students across all MMU campuses.
YSD Superintendent, Dr. Wayne Kindle, says their enrollment saw a slight bump after a decrease in 2025 due to the closure of Cimpl Meats.
Both Kindle and Brown said both institutions are off to a great start over the fall semester.
