Yankton Bucks and Gazelles Soccer will host Tea Area Titans in their first home doubleheader of the 2026 season.
The Bucks enter with a 1-2 record after splitting their two games this past weekend in Rapid City, defeating RC Central 2-1 and falling to RC Stevens 4-0.
The Gazelles are off to a 3-0 start to their season, coming off a 2-1 win over RC Stevens on Saturday. After their impressive start to the season, Yankton jumped to second in the latest Class AA Girls Soccer Coaches Poll.
The boys will play first at 5:00 PM, with the girls to follow. Pregame coverage on KYNT and KYNTV begins at 4:15.
Mount Marty Women’s Golf is 10th as a team after the opening round of their home invitational at Hillcrest Golf & Country Club.
The Lancers shot 372 as a team, led by a 90 from Trinity Palmquist. Morningside leads the team standings at 330, while Dakota Wesleyan’s Allison Meyerink tops the individual standings at a 3-over 75.
The tournament concludes today, with the final round held at Fox Run Golf Course.
The Yankton Bucks Golf team is back in action today, as they travel to Pierre for an invitational at Hillsview Golf Club.
The Bucks are coming off a 4th place finish at an invite this past Friday, where they shot a 302 as a team.
Tee time is scheduled for 10:00 AM this morning.
Yankton Gazelles Volleyball has their first match of the season tonight, as they take on the Brookings Bobcats in Brookings.
The Gazelles have a new Head Coach this season, as Tiffany Beste returns to the role. Yankton finished last season 11-16 with a SoDak 16 appearance.
First serve from Brookings High School is scheduled for 6:30 PM.
The Mount Marty Lancers rank 7th (men’s) and 10th (women’s) in the GPAC Cross Country Preseason Polls.
The Lancer men earned 46 points in the poll to rank 7th, while the women earned 38 points. Dordt is the preseason favorite in both polls.
The Lancers begin their 2026 season on September 4th at the Augustana Twilight in Sioux Falls.

Mount Marty Men’s Soccer opens their 2026 season tonight, on the road against Bethany Lutheran College.
The Lancers are coming off a 3-7-5 record last season, 1-5-4 in GPAC play, advancing past the first round of the GPAC Tournament for the first time in program history with a shootout win over Northwestern.
Kickoff from Mankato, Minnesota, is scheduled for 5:00 PM.

The Yankton Quarterback Club will kick off its 79th season tomorrow at the River Rock Event Center in Yankton.
Tomorrow’s featured guest speaker will be new USD Head Football Coach Matt Vitzthum (Vit-zum). Vitzthum was named the 32nd head coach in program history this past February after serving as an assistant coach since 2024.
A meal will be available to purchase beginning at 11:15 AM, with the meeting scheduled for noon. The public is invited to attend.
