YSD Superintendent Dr. Wayne Kindle and Yankton school board member Kathy Greeneway were both named recipients of two prestigious statewide honors earlier this year.
Kindle received the 2026 Outstanding South Dakota Superintendent Award by the South Dakota School Superintendents Association.
Greeneway, who has served on the Yankton School Board for 18 years, was recognized as the 2026 ASBSD Outstanding School Board Member of the Year.
The Yankton School District hosted an open house at the high school on Wednesday to celebrate both Kindle and Greeneway.
