Yankton Post 12 is the #3 seed in the Class A Legion Baseball Playoffs. They will host #14 Aberdeen in the opening round.
Yankton ended the regular season 15-6 in Class A play, including a two-game sweep of Aberdeen, winning 9-0 and 9-4.
Game one of the three-game series will take place on Wednesday at 7:00 PM at Riverside Field, with pregame coverage on KYNT and KYNTV at 6:30.
Games two and three are scheduled for Thursday. Game two is scheduled for noon, with game three, if necessary, to follow.

Mount Marty University announced the hiring of Nicole Flynn as a new Assistant Men’s and Women’s Track and Field Coach on Saturday.
Flynn returns to Yankton to lead the MMU throwing program after she began her college career as a Lancer before transferring to the NCAA Division II level at the University of Sioux Falls.
While at USF, she established herself as one of the premier throwers in the region, capturing a Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) Championship in the shot put and earning recognition as the 2025 Indoor Field Most Valuable Performer.
The Wynot Expos shut out the Freeman Black Sox last night, 15-0, in the final South Central League Amateur Baseball game of the regular season.
Devin Lammers finished the night 4-for-5 at the plate with a home run to lead Wynot to the #2 seed in the upcoming District 6B Tournament. Landon Wieseler struck out five batters over six innings for the win on the mound.
Sawyer Wipf led Freeman at the plate with a double, while Colton Spader, Austin Smidt, and Clint Dangel had a hit each.
Wynot ends the SCL season 3rd in the standings at 8-6, while Freeman is 6-8. Both teams turn their attention to the District 6B Tournament, beginning on Thursday in Menno.

Five South Dakota State golfers were announced as WGCA All-American Scholars by the Women’s Golf Coaches Association last week.
SDSU’s honorees include McKenzie Mages, Hannah Boraas, Samantha Stites, Hannah Pettitt, and Riko Danjo.
To be selected, a student-athlete must hold a 3.5 cumulative GPA or better, be an amateur while holding a roster spot at the end of the team’s season, and appear in over half of the college’s regularly scheduled competitive rounds during the year.
