The Lewis and Clark Legion Baseball Classic begins tomorrow, with twenty teams set to compete across four pools.
Yankton, Vermillion, Hartington, and Crofton will serve as hosts for this year’s tournament, with the winners of each pool advancing to a four-team championship bracket on Sunday.
Team lists for each pool and Friday’s schedule are available below. Games will begin at 9:30 AM on Friday and Saturday.

The South Dakota High School Softball State Tournament for Classes AA, A, and B begins today.
The Class AA Tournament will be held at Bowden Field on the campus of Augustana University in Sioux Falls, while the Class A and B Tournaments will take place at the Players Softball Complex in Aberdeen.
Multiple area teams will compete in this year’s tournament, including Avon and Gayville-Volin in Class B. Opening games are scheduled for 10:00 AM this morning.

Three members of the University of South Dakota Softball program have been named to the 2026 Summit League All-Academic Team.
Autumn Iversen and Abi Brown were selected for the second time in their careers, while Madison Evans earned her first selection in her first year of eligibility.
The Coyotes tied for the most honorees this season with Omaha and South Dakota State.
