Following their historic season, the South Dakota Coyotes moved to 19th in the latest Softball America top-25 mid-major poll.
The Coyotes made the jump following an impressive showing in the Lincoln Regional, where they defeated #24/25 Louisville 4-2, and were the only team to score a run over the top-ranked Cornhuskers.
The honor adds to a list of firsts this season for the Coyotes, as they captured their first Summit League Tournament Championship, their first NCAA Tournament appearance, and their first NCAA Tournament victory in program history.
