The Yankton Gazelles and Pierre Governors combined for 32 runs last night in the Class AA Softball matchup.
The Gazelles claimed the 22-10 victory. Brooklyn King and Madison Musfelt both recorded four RBIs in the win.
The 2-1 Gazelles are back on the road on Monday to take on the Sioux Falls Jefferson Cavaliers.

The relays will be held at Elwood-Olsen Stadium in Sioux City. Events are scheduled to begin at 10:00 AM.

The University of South Dakota and head women’s basketball coach Carrie Eighmey (Amy) have agreed on a new five-year contract, that will see her remain in the role through the 2030-31 season.
The Coyotes improved drastically in year two under Coach Eighmey, going from 11-20 in 2024-25 to 26-10 this past season, advancing to the WNIT Semifinals.
Eighmey holds a 285-151 career record as a head coach across 14 seasons at the NCAA Division I, Division II, and NAIA levels.
