Due to weather conditions throughout the area, several YHS and Mount Marty Athletics have adjusted their schedules over recent days:
- Mount Marty Baseball was scheduled to play Midland in a doubleheader on Saturday, those games will be played today beginning at 2:00 PM.
- Mount Marty Softball postponed their doubleheader against Midland that was scheduled for Monday. The games will now be played on April 21st. The Lancers’ next games will be on Wednesday as they host Concordia.
- Yankton Bucks Tennis will host their triangular indoors today at the NFAA Easton Yankton Archery Center. A rolling schedule will be used beginning with Yankton vs Brandon Valley at 11:00 AM.
- Yankton Gazelles Softball has had their matchup with Aberdeen Central moved indoors for this afternoon. The game will be held at the Aberdeen Dome with varsity at 4:00 PM and JV to follow
- Yankton Track and Field will not make the trip to Sioux Falls today, as their scheduled meet has been canceled and will not be rescheduled.
- Yankton Bucks Baseball canceled their games against Sioux Falls Jefferson and Sioux Falls Lincoln yesterday. Their home doubleheader against Huron has also been moved from Friday to tomorrow. First pitch is scheduled for 5:00 PM.
The Mount Marty Lancers are 8th as a team following the opening day of the Bethany College Men’s Golf Classic.
Guus Van Loon leads the Lancers, as he is 13th individually, finishing day one at +6. Wout Kerkhofs, tied for 29th, and Leo Garcia, tied for 33rd, are also in the top half of the leaderboard for MMU.
The event concludes today at Sand Creek Station in Newton, Kansas.
Mount Marty Women’s Golf will travel to Lincoln, Nebraska, today for the opening round of the Concordia Women’s Spring Invite.
Both days of competition, Today and tomorrow, will be held at Highlands Golf Course, beginning at 9:00 AM.
