Avera Sacred Heart has been named to the 2026 Top 100 list for Critical Access Hospitals and Rural & Community Hospitals by the Chartis Center for Rural Health.
Sacred Heart CEO and Regional President Victoria Hanson says the list is based on the results of the Chartis Rural Hospital Performance Index.
Hanson credits the Sacred Heart staff for the recognition.
Sacred Heart has been recognized every year of the list’s 11-year existence, making it one of 11 hospitals to do so.
