Lacey Sprakel posted 12 points and 11 rebounds for a double-double against the Flames. Leah Williams led in scoring with 15 points, with Kaela Martinez adding 13.
The Lancers will play in the GPAC Tournament for the first time since 2016 on Wednesday, as they take on top-seeded Dordt in Sioux Center at 7:00 PM.
Yankton Bucks and Gazelles Basketball will travel to Brookings tomorrow night for a doubleheader with the Bobcats.
Both Yankton squads are currently slated to compete in the SoDak 16, as they sit 13th in the standings with 3 games remaining.
The girls will play first at 6:00 PM, with the boys to follow. Pregame coverage on KYNT and KYNTV begins at 5:15 Tuesday with Brayden Butler on the call.
Yankton Bucks Wrestling Coach Robert Coyle III was selected as the Region 2A Boys Wrestling coach of the year on Friday, as the Bucks placed 3rd in the Region 2A tournament and qualified 8 wrestlers for state.
Senior Shayce Platt led Yankton, claiming the 165-pound championship. Elsewhere for the Bucks, Colton Archer (106), Damian Janish (113), and Zane Portillo (157) placed 2nd, Edly Amaro (215) placed 3rd, and Brooks DeLozier (120), Ethan Smith (126), and Drace Gaskins (285) placed 4th.
The Class AA Boys Wrestling State Tournament begins on Thursday at the Denny Sanford Premier Center in Sioux Falls.
The Yankton Bucks claimed a JV state championship last Friday at the South Dakota High School Bowling Association state tournament in Sioux Falls.
The victory secured a three-peat for the Bucks JV squad, capturing their 3rd straight Junior Varsity State Championship.
Mount Marty Indoor Track and Field placed 5th in the men’s division and 8th in the women’s division at this past weekend’s GPAC Championships.
The Lancer men scored 67 points, as Logan Ferrari set a new meet record in the 5,000 with a time of 14:51.84 to take 1st place. Jonathan van Lien also claimed an event victory in the heptathlon.
The Lancer women were led by a pair of high finishes in the pole vault, as Mya Zohner placed 2nd, with Paige Clausen tied for 4th. Josey Wahlstrom also placed 4th in the pentathlon.

Yankton Bucks Hockey fell in a close game with Sioux Falls East yesterday, 3-2 in Yankton.
The Bucks went down 2-0 early before goals from Brayden Byrkeland and Kaden Hunhoff tied the game in the second period. The Flyers would secure the game winning goal with just over 30 seconds remaining to take the victory.
Next up for the Bucks is a makeup game against the Oahe (O-wah-he) Capitals. The game will be played on Friday at a neutral site in Mitchell.
Cedar Catholic Senior Brady Hochstein claimed the 165-pound state title this past weekend, leading the Trojans to a 3rd place finish in Class C at the Nebraska State Boys’ Wrestling Tournament.
The Trojans scored 80 points as a team. Brady Hochstein took 1st with a 13-3 win over Daron Dozler in the finals, while Bodie Hochstein fell in the 144-pound final to finish 2nd for the Trojans.
Crofton-Bloomfield scored 13 points as a team, led by a 4th place finish at 175 for Brock Jeannoutot.
South Dakota Coyotes Men’s Basketball dropped their third straight game on Saturday, losing to Oral Roberts 67-62.
Cameron Fens starred despite the loss, scoring 25 points, grabbing 13 rebounds, and recording a pair of blocks for USD.
The Coyotes return home for their penultimate game of the regular season on Wednesday against Omaha.
South Dakota Coyotes Women’s Basketball suffered their first defeat in nearly a month on Saturday, falling to North Dakota State 81-68.
Molly Joyce (24) and Angelina Robles (22) combined for 46 points for USD in the loss. Avery Koenen led the Bison with 30 points and 14 rebounds.
The Coyotes travel to Grand Forks on Wednesday to take on the University of North Dakota in their next game.
South Dakota State Men’s Basketball picked up a 91-83 win over North Dakota on Saturday at First Bank & Trust Arena in Brookings.
Joe Sayler led the Jacks with 23 points and 8 rebounds. Matthew Mors followed with 18 points and 7 rebounds.
The Jackrabbits are on the road on Thursday for their next game against the Kansas City Roos.
South Dakota State Women’s Basketball tallied their fifth straight win on Saturday, defeating Denver 71-55.
Brooklyn Meyer recorded a double-double in the win with 19 points and 10 rebounds. Madison Mathiowetz led the Jacks in scoring with 24 points.
SDSU is back on the road on Wednesday, as they take on North Dakota State in Fargo, North Dakota.
