The Yankton Bucks picked up their second win of the season last night, defeating Pierre 51-43 in a Class AA Boys Basketball clash in the state capital.
Jackson Kudera led the Bucks with 16 points, followed by 13 from Owen Eidsness and 10 from Beck Ryken.
The Bucks are back on the road tomorrow, taking on the Sioux Falls Roosevelt Roughriders at Roosevelt High School. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:00 PM.
Yankton Gazelles Basketball got back into the win column last night, defeating the Pierre Governors 54-33 in Yankton.
Jordyn Kudera posted a team-high 19 points to lead the Gazelles. Eden Wolfgram followed with 14.
The Gazelles are home again tomorrow night against the Sioux Falls Roosevelt Roughriders. Tip-off from Yankton is scheduled for 7:00 PM.
University of South Dakota Athletics has received a gift of one million dollars from Bill and Jill Gassen towards the future indoor track and field facility, the Gassen Family Fieldhouse.
The new indoor facility will feature a 200-meter banked track with a pair of perimeter warm-up lanes, plus a 60-meter straightaway. It will also feature a pair of long jump/triple jump pits, two pole vaulting stations, two high jumps over straightaways, and a pair of throwing cages.
Both Bill and Jill are USD Alumni, and were members of the Track and Field program during their time in Vermillion.
South Dakota Coyotes Men’s Basketball returns to the floor tonight to take on the Kansas City Roos in Kansas City.
Tip-off for the Summit League men’s basketball clash is scheduled for 7:00 PM this evening.
The South Dakota Coyotes Women’s Basketball team travels to Denver, Colorado, tomorrow night to take on the Denver Pioneers.
Tip-off between the Coyotes and Pioneers is scheduled for 7:00 PM Central/6:00 PM Mountain.
South Dakota State Men’s Basketball will play their second of three straight home games tonight, as they host St. Thomas in Brookings.
Tip-off from First Bank & Trust Arena between the Jacks and Tommies is scheduled for 6:00 PM.
South Dakota State Women’s Basketball travels to St. Paul, Minnesota, tonight to take on St. Thomas.
Tip-off is scheduled for 8:00 PM.
