Yankton Gazelles Soccer Coach Tyler Schuring has been honored as the girls soccer coach of the year by the South Dakota High School Coaches Association.
Schuring led the Gazelles to a 9-4-3 record this past season, advancing to the Quarterfinals of the Class AA State Playoffs.
Schuring will be recognized during the SDHSCA Awards Ceremony on July 19th at Mitchell High School.
Yankton Gazelles Basketball earned their third win of the season last night, defeating the Huron Tigers 54-50.
Eden Wolfgram led the Gazelles, scoring 21 points and recording 7 steals. Jordyn Kudera followed with 16 points, and September Rauch had 12.
The Gazelles are back in action tonight as part of a boys and girls doubleheader against Brandon Valley. The girls play first at 6:00 PM with the boys to follow. Pregame coverage on KYNT and KYNTV begins at 5:15 with Brayden Butler.
The Mount Marty Lancers travel to Sioux Center, Iowa, tomorrow afternoon for a GPAC Men’s and Women’s Basketball doubleheader.

Yankton Bucks Hockey returns to the ice tonight to host the Brandon Valley Ice Cats in Yankton.
The Bucks are 9-2 in league play and are currently on a 6 game win streak, including a 9-1 win over Brandon Valley on December 19th. Puck drop is scheduled for 8:00 PM.
Yankton Bucks and Gazelles Wrestling has a varsity quadrangular this afternoon at Lennox High School.
Yankton will face Lennox, Sioux Falls Washington, and Sioux Falls Lincoln during the event. Matches are scheduled to begin at 5:30 PM.
Mount Marty Indoor Track and Field travels to Seward, Nebraska, today for the opening day of the Concordia Classic & Multis. Events begin at 10:00 AM.
Yankton Gazelles Gymnastics will be in Aberdeen tomorrow for the ESD Conference meet. Events are scheduled to begin at noon at Aberdeen Central High School.
South Dakota Coyotes Men’s Basketball took down Oral Roberts last night, 77-69 in Vermillion.
Uzziah Buntyn (26) and Cameron Fens (25) combined for 51 points for USD. Fens added 13 rebounds for a double-double.
The Coyotes are back home tomorrow to host North Dakota State. Tip-off is scheduled for 5:00 PM.
The South Dakota Coyotes and the South Dakota State Jackrabbits renew their rivalry tomorrow in a Summit League Women’s Basketball clash.
The game will feature two of the top teams in the conference, as USD is 3rd at 6-2, while SDSU is 2nd at 7-1.
Tip-off is scheduled for 1:00 PM tomorrow afternoon at the Sanford Coyote Sports Center in Vermillion.
South Dakota State Men’s Basketball hosts Oral Roberts tomorrow afternoon in Summit League play. Tip-off from Brookings is scheduled for 2:00 PM.
