The jury in the Andrew Jondahl trial will continue deliberations today as both sides delivered their closing arguments Thursday.
The jury went into deliberations shortly before noon and left the courthouse at 9 pm last night.
At one point, the jury did question the definition of the term imminent that was in the charges. After meeting with Assistant Attorney Generals Alex Tracy and Chelsea Wenzel, who are representing the state, and defense attorney Brent Matter, Judge Cheryle Gering relayed back to the jury that they must rely on the definition that was given in the jury instructions.
The jury is expected to resume deliberations at 8:30 this morning at the Yankton County Courthouse.
