The Yankton Bucks and Gazelles will host the Watertown Arrows tonight in a boys and girls basketball doubleheader.
The Bucks are coming off a 54-43 loss to Huron on Tuesday, while the Gazelles will have a full week off since their last game on January 9th.
The girls’ game will be held first at 6:00 PM, with the boys to follow. Pregame coverage on KYNT and KYNTV begins at 5:15 with Brayden Butler.
The Mount Marty Lancers and the Briar Cliff Chargers will square off in the GPAC Men’s and Women’s Basketball doubleheader tomorrow afternoon.
Both games are important for potential postseason seeding. On the women’s side, MMU is 6th in the GPAC while Briar Cliff is 4th. In the men’s matchup, the Lancers and Chagers are two of three teams tied for 3rd with 6-5 league records.
Tomorrow’s games begin at 2:00 PM in Sioux City, Iowa. Pregame coverage on KYNT and KYNTV with Tehl Tanner begins at 1:15.
The Mount Marty Lancers have been picked 6th in the Great Plains Athletic Conference preseason poll for Cheer.
The Lancers received 19 points in the poll to be picked ahead of Hastings and Waldorf. Northwestern led the voting with 7 of 8 first place votes.
Coaches were not allowed to vote for their own teams in the poll. The full poll is available below.

The Yankton Bucks went 0-2 last night in their wrestling triangular against Aberdeen Central and Brandon Valley.
Yankton fell to the Golden Eagles 51-24. Colton Archer (106), Ethan Smith (126), Shayce Platt (165), and Peyton Eustace (215) all picked up wins for the Bucks.
Yankton lost to the Lynx in their other dual, 55-16. Archer and Platt picked up another win each, as did Edly Amaro (215) and Zane Portillo (157).
The Bucks are off until next Thursday when they take on Vermillion and Dakota Valley in a triangular.
The Yankton Gazelles were swept in their wrestling triangular last night by Brandon Valley and Aberdeen Central.
Against Brandon Valley, Alexis Brenden (120) and Winry Yaggie (145) both picked up victories in a 48-22 loss for the Gazelles.
Yankton would fall to Aberdeen Central 66-11. Brenden and Yaggie were once again victorious in their matches.
The Gazelles are back in action today for the Harrisburg invitational. Matches are set to begin at 4:00 PM at Harrisburg High School.
Adult and student all-session tickets for the 2026 South Dakota State Wrestling Tournament, Feb. 26-28 in Sioux Falls, are now available for purchase at the Yankton School District Administration Building at 2410 West City Limits Road.
Tickets are available for purchase during regular business hours through Friday at 4:30 p.m. Payment is due when the order is submitted. No credit or debit cards will be accepted.
Yankton Gazelles Gymnastics will hit the road this afternoon for a matchup with the Huron Tigers.
Events will be held at the Huron Tiger Activity Center beginning at 5:00 PM.
Mount Marty will host their indoor track and field invitational & multi’s today and tomorrow at the Ruth Donohoe First Dakota Fieldhouse. Events begin at 10:00 AM.
The South Dakota Coyotes improved to 10-9 last night with a 99-83 win over the Kansas City Roos in Summit League Men’s Basketball play.
Cameron Fens was dominant in the win, posting game-highs in points with 31 and rebounds with 15. Isaac Bruns followed with 22 points and 7 boards.
The Coyotes hit the road tomorrow to take on the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks. Tip-off is set for 1:00 PM Saturday.
South Dakota Coyotes Women’s Basketball hosts the Denver Pioneers tomorrow afternoon in their Native American Heritage Game.
Tip-off from the Sanford Coyote Sports Center in Vermillion is scheduled for 1:00 PM on Saturday.
South Dakota State Men’s Basketball returns home tomorrow night to take on Kansas City.
Tip-off between the Jackrabbits and the Roos is scheduled for 4:15 PM tomorrow in Brookings.
South Dakota State Women’s Basketball picked up another dominant win last night, defeating Denver 90-44.
Four different Jackrabbits scored in double figures, led by 18 points from Brooklyn Meyer. Madison Mathiowetz added 15, followed by 14 from Maggie Hartwig and 11 from Emilee Fox.
The Jackrabbits are back in action tomorrow night against North Dakota State. Tip-off is scheduled for 2:00 PM in Brookings.
