The Springfield man that was killed in a single vehicle crash that killed two pedestrians has been identified.
Preliminary crash information indicates Laura Ann Simmons, from Minnesota, the driver of a 2012 Ford Escape, was traveling south on 480th Avenue, as she approached an intersection, she came upon two pedestrians walking in the southbound lane, colliding with both.
Both pedestrians, identified as Grace Frances Walker, a 25-year-old female from Wentworth, SD, and Jeremy Leo Davis, a 34-year-old male from Springfield, were pronounced deceased at the scene. Simmons was not injured.
The South Dakota Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
