Mount Marty Men’s Basketball picked up their second straight win last night, defeating Hastings 91-87.
Sutton Arend led the Lancers with 26 points in the win. Mac Ryken added 19 points in 32 minutes off the bench.
The Lancers improved to 4-2 in GPAC play with the win. They’ll travel to Forest City, Iowa on Saturday to take on Waldorf.
Mount Marty Women’s Basketball is now 7-4 on the year, following last night’s 82-61 loss to Hastings.
Signe Bang led the Lancers with 16 points and 7 rebounds. Alexus Motley nearly recorded a double-double with 11 points and 9 rebounds.
The Lancers travel to Forest City, Iowa on Saturday for their next GPAC matchup against Waldorf.
Yankton Bucks and Gazelles Basketball returns to the court tomorrow night to host the Harrisburg Tigers in a Class AA doubleheader.
The Gazelles enter the game 1-0 after last Friday’s 61-10 win over Sioux Falls Lincoln. Tomorrow’s game is the season opener for the Bucks.
The girls play first at 6:00 PM tomorrow night, with the boys to follow. Pregame coverage on KYNT and KYNTV begins at 5:15 with Brayden Butler on the call.
Yankton Bucks and Gazelles Wrestling will compete in Rapid City over the next three days in a pair of events.
Competition starts with a triangular tonight against Chamberlain and Rapid City Stevens. Matches are scheduled to begin at 5:45 PM Central.

Events are scheduled to begin at 10:00 AM. This will be the final event of 2025 for the Lancers, with their next competition scheduled for January 10th, 2026.
South Dakota Coyotes Women’s Basketball suffered their third loss in their last four games yesterday, falling to Bradley 65-62 in Peoria, Illinois.
Freshman Tori Schlagel led the Coyotes with 14 points in the loss, followed by 13 from Molly Joyce.
The now 8-3 Coyotes have a week off before they take on Pepperdine next Wednesday in Malibu, California.
South Dakota State Women’s Basketball picked up their fourth straight win last night, defeating Northern Iowa 59-57 in Cedar Falls, Iowa.
Maggie Hartwig, Brooklyn Meyer, and Madison Mathiowetz led the way for the Jackrabbits, as the trio combined for 40 points and 23 rebounds.
The Jackrabbits host Ball State for their next game. Tip-off is scheduled for 2:00 PM Sunday afternoon in Brookings.
South Dakota State Men’s Basketball returns home tomorrow night to host Dakota Wesleyan.
