Yankton Gazelles Basketball travels to Huron tonight for their first road game of the season against the Huron Tigers.
Yankton is 1-0 after an impressive 61-10 win over Sioux Falls Lincoln on Friday. Tonight is the season opener for the Tigers after a 7-14 record last season.

Mount Marty Men’s and Women’s Basketball travels to Hastings, Nebraska, tomorrow night for a GPAC doubleheader against the Hastings Broncos.
The Lancer Men are 3-2 in GPAC play after their win over Briar Cliff on Saturday. The Lancer Women are 2-3 in the conference with their losses coming to #9 Concordia, #8 Briar Cliff, and #1 Concordia.

Yankton Gazelles Gymnastics fell in a close dual with Pierre last night, 133.2 to 132.95, in the state capital.
Yankton claimed two of the top three spots in the all around competition, as Burkley Olson placed 1st with Avery Portillo in 3rd. Portillo claimed the only individual event victory for Yankton, tying for the top spot in the vault.
Next up for the Gazelles is a home dual on December 18th against Harrisburg. The Tigers are the defending Class AA State Champions.
Yankton Bucks and Gazelles Wrestling travels to Lennox today for a boys and girls quadrangular.
Yankton will square off with the hosts Lennox, as well as Sioux Falls Washington and Sioux Falls Lincoln.
Matches are scheduled to begin at 4:30 PM at Lennox High School.
Summit League Commissioner Josh Felton will be the featured guest speaker at tomorrow’s Yankton Quarterback Club Meeting at the River Rock Event Center.
Felton is the 6th commissioner in Summit League history, having served since April of 2023. Also speaking tomorrow is former Mount Marty President Marc Long.
A meal will be available for purchase at 11:15 with speakers scheduled for noon. The public is invited to attend.
South Dakota Coyotes Men’s Basketball will take on the Wyoming Cowboys tonight in Laramie, Wyoming.
The Coyotes are 5-5 on the year following back-to-back losses to Portland State and Northern Colorado.
Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 PM this evening.
South Dakota Coyotes Women’s Basketball will be in Peoria, Illinois, tomorrow to take on Bradley.
The 8-2 Coyotes are looking to bounce back from their 67-63 loss to Eastern Washington on Saturday.

The Jackrabbits are 5-5 on the year following this past weekend’s 84-81 loss to the Idaho Vandals.

The Jackrabbits are 8-2 on the year, riding a three-game win streak into their matchup with UNI.

Former South Dakota State Head Football Coach Jimmy Rogers had his introductory press conference yesterday as the new head coach at Iowa State.
Rogers served two years as head coach of the Jackrabbits, leading them to an undefeated season and a national title in 2023. Rogers left SDSU and spent this past season at Washington State, leading the Cougars to a 6-6 record.
Rogers becomes the 34th head coach in the history of the Cyclones, taking over for Matt Campbell after his departure to become head coach at Penn State.
