Julia Hussein was recently named the City of Yankton’s 2025 Employee of the Year.
Hussein, who has been a dispatcher for the Yankton Police Department for nearly 30 years, says when she’s on a call she tries to lead with kindness for those who may be having their worst day.
The city presented Hussein with the award at the City Christmas party last Friday.
