Mount Marty Men’s Basketball fell to Wichita State in an exhibition game last night, 95-69.
Jake Jensen led the Lancers with 17 points. Deegan Williams added 11 points and a team-high 8 assists.
The loss does not count towards the Lancers’ record since it was against an NCAA D1 opponent. The Lancer men host Briar Cliff in their next game on Saturday.
Mount Marty Women’s Basketball travels to Omaha, Nebraska, tonight to take on the College of Saint Mary.
The Lancers carry a 6-2 record into tonight’s matchup, including a 2-2 mark in GPAC play, with both losses coming to ranked opponents.

Yankton Gazelles Gymnastics scored a 134.35 last night in their opening meet of the 2025-26 season.
Yankton’s Burkley Olson, Marissa Byrkeland, and Avery Portillo finished 5th, 6th, and tied for 7th, respectively, in the all-around competition. Portillo was the highest finisher in an individual event for the Gazelles, tying for 2nd in both vault and floor.
Next up for the Gazelles is a dual against Pierre on December 8th in the state capital.
Yankton Bucks and Gazelles Wrestling has their season opener tomorrow night in Beresford.
Yankton will face Watertown and Beresford/Alcester-Hudson in a triangular. A rolling schedule will be in use with matches beginning at 5:00 PM.
South Dakota Coyotes Men’s Basketball returns home tonight to host Portland State in the opening game of the Big Sky-Summit Challenge.
The Coyotes are 5-3 on the year, winning 5 of their last 6 games, including an 80-63 victory over Air Force on Saturday.
