Mount Marty Women’s Basketball fell in a close matchup with #11-ranked Concordia 66-59.
Lacey Sprakel and Alexis Folkers tied for a team-high 13 points in the loss. Both players also recorded a double-double, as Sprakel had 12 rebounds, while Folkers added 11.
The Lancer women have an extended break before their next game against the College of Saint Mary on December 3rd.
The Mount Marty Lancers were defeated by the Concordia Bulldogs in a GPAC Men’s Basketball matchup last night, 84-75.
Jake Jensen led the Lancers with 18 points and 10 rebounds for a double-double. Tyler Sandoval entered the starting lineup last night and finished with 15 points and 7 rebounds.
The Lancer Men are back in action on Saturday against Saint Ambrose University in Davenport, Iowa.
South Dakota State Volleyball fell one match short of a perfect conference season, losing 3-1 to St. Thomas in the Summit League Tournament Championship.
The Jackrabbits were led by 19 kills from Sylvie Zgonc (z-gunce) and 14 kills from Madison Burr. Burr also recorded 7 blocks for SDSU.
The Jackrabbits ended the regular season with a 23-4 overall record and were 16-0 in conference play.
South Dakota Coyotes Women’s Basketball improved to 7-0 last night with a 73-41 win over Arkansas-Pine Bluff.
Five different Coyotes scored in double figures, led by 21 points from Angelina Robles. Robles also recorded a team-high 5 assists.
USD travels to Laramie, Wyoming, for their next game, as they take on the University of Wyoming on Saturday.
South Dakota State Men’s Basketball fell to Utah Valley last night, 75-52, in their opening game of the Cancun Classic.
Matthew Mors led SDSU with 10 points, adding a team-high 3 blocks. Damon Wilkinson led the team in rebounds with 7.
SDSU wraps up their trip to Mexico tonight against UC Irvine. Tip-off is set for 7:30 PM.
South Dakota State Women’s Basketball is in Cancun, Mexico, for their next two games, beginning tomorrow morning against North Carolina.
The Jackrabbits are undefeated at 5-0 on the year, but face their toughest test so far in the top-15 ranked Tar Heels.
