A woman found guilty of first-degree murder in a quadruple homicide in Laurel, Nebraska in August 2022 has been sentenced to life in prison.
Carrie Jones, the wife of Jason Jones, who is convicted in the quadruple homicide, was found guilty of first-degree murder after it was determined that she encouraged her husband to murder Gene Twiford, who was one of the four victims.
Carrie was found guilty on August 7th of this year, while Jason was found guilty during his trial in September of 2024.
Jason is facing the death penalty. A final ruling on if he’ll be put on death row is expected in April 2026.
