Yankton Bucks Football will take on the Pierre Governors tonight in the 11AA State Championship.
The Bucks enter with a 9-2 record, 9-1 in 11AA play. Yankton defeated Pierre 35-28 when the two teams met earlier this year in Yankton.

The Yankton Gazelles had their volleyball season come to an end last night with a 3-0 loss to Sioux Falls Lincoln in the SoDak 16.
The Gazelles took the Patriots to the wire in the opening two sets, falling 25-20 and 25-21. Lincoln would pull away in the final set to win 25-13.
The Gazelles end their season with an 11-16 record and a SoDak 16 appearance. Yankton graduates one senior from this year’s team, outside hitter Gracie Gutzmann.
Mount Marty Football has their final game of the regular season tomorrow afternoon, as they take on Midland in Fremont, Nebraska.
The Lancers are looking to end the season on a high note after falling in 4 straight games down the stretch.

The Lancer men are 1-4 on the year following a close loss to York last Saturday, 92-90 in Yankton.

Mount Marty Forward Oliver Danzer has been named to the GPAC All-Conference 2nd-team for the 2025 season.
Danzer led Mount Marty with 4 goals this past season, helping them reach the GPAC Semifinals for the first time in program history.
Goalkeeper Esteban Gomez and defender Sebastian Diaz were also recognized as All-GPAC Honorable Mentions.
The Avon Pirates fell to the St. Mary’s Cardinals yesterday, 54-6, in the Class 9B State Championship.
The Pirates were stifled on offense in the loss. Easton Sees rushed for 43 yards and the lone touchdown for Avon.
Avon ends their season with a 10-2 overall record. St. Mary’s completes a perfect 12-0 season with the win.
The Freeman/Marion/Freeman Academy Phoenix are the 2025 Class 9AA Football State Champions following last night’s 46-22 win over Elkton-Lake Benton.
Phoenix Quarterback Riley Tschetter threw for 315 yards and 3 touchdowns in the win, adding 37 yards and another score on the ground.
The Phoenix end the season undefeated with a 12-0 record.
Elk Point-Jefferson takes on St. Thomas More today in a battle of the top two seeds in 11B with a state championship on the line.
Both teams enter undefeated with 11-0 records. To advance to the championship, the Huskies outlasted Deuel 43-36 in the semifinals.
