A Yankton County man will serve 20 years in the state penitentiary after being sentenced on Friday.
Calahan Hale Stark, 31, was convicted on charges of Possession with Intent to Distribute Controlled Substances and Possession of Unauthorized Articles in a Jail.
The conviction stems from an investigation in which Stark was found in possession of over 300 fentanyl pills and over 107 grams of cocaine.
While incarcerated in the Yankton County Jail, Stark brought over 7 grams of ketamine into the facility.
During a search of Stark’s residence, authorities also uncovered additional controlled substances.
The case was investigated by the South Dakota DCI, the Yankton Police Department, and the Yankton County Sheriff’s Department.
