Yankton Bucks Football returns home to Crane-Youngworth Field tomorrow night, following their first in-class loss of the year last week to Sturgis.
The Bucks enter week 7 with a 4-2 overall record. Yankton has yet to lose a game at home this season, outscoring their opponents 150-60 in their three games so far.
On the opposite side of the field, the Brooking Bobcats are 3-3 on the year, looking to bounce back from a 20-0 loss to Tea Area last week.

The Class AA Girls Tennis State Tournament begins today in Sioux Falls, with the Yankton Gazelles looking to bring home several accolades at this year’s event.
The Gazelles went 16-6 in dual play in the regular season, capturing a 3rd place team finish at the ESD Conference Meet last week.
Yankton’s Nora and Sabrina Krajewski look to defend their state titles at flight one doubles, with Nora looking to capture her third straight singles championship, and the fourth of her career.
Matches will be held at Tomar Park, McKennan Park, and Lincoln High School, beginning at 8:00 AM this morning.
Yankton Gazelles Volleyball returns to action tonight, taking on the Brandon Valley Lynx in Brandon.
The Gazelles are 4-11 on the year, playing their first match since last Thursday’s loss to Sioux Falls Christian.
First serve from Brandon Valley High School is set for 6:30 PM tonight.
Yankton Competitive Cheer and Dance travels to Watertown today for a varsity invitational. Events are set to begin at 5:00 PM at Watertown High School.
Mount Marty Volleyball returns to the court tomorrow, as they host GPAC rivals Morningside inside Cimpl Arena.
The Lancers are 9-10 on the year, 2-6 in GPAC play, coming off back-to-back losses to Dordt and Dakota Wesleyan last week.
First serve from Cimpl Arena is set for 7:30 PM tomorrow night.
The Cedar Catholic Trojans host the Ponca Indians tomorrow night in the Northeast Nebraska Football Game of the Week, courtesy of Riverfront Sports.
The Trojans are a perfect 6-0 so far this season, coming off a 52-0 shutout of Battle Creek last week.
The Indians come to Hartington with a 2-4 record. Ponca has not played since September 26th, after last week’s scheduled game with Oakland-Craig was ruled a forfeit, as the Knights are not fielding a varsity program this season.

Jon Winkler of Riverfront Broadcasting (KCCR) in Pierre was recently recognized as the 2025 Sports Broadcaster of the Year by the South Dakota Broadcasters Association.
Winkler covers a wide variety of sports for the Governors, including baseball, softball, swimming, trapshooting, golf, football, basketball, soccer, hockey, competitive cheer and dance, track and field, cross country, and rodeo.
Winkler has also covered major events outside of his day-to-day work, serving as the voice of the South Dakota Amateur Hockey Tournament for both boys’ and girls’ varsity tournaments.
