Mount Marty Women’s Soccer played Concordia to a scoreless draw last night, while the men fell 3-0 in their GPAC doubleheader.
The draw for the women was the first for the Lancers against the Bulldogs in program history, as Concordia had won all 23 of the previous matchups. Brooklyn McNac made 10 saves in net to maintain the clean sheet.
The Lancer men held Concordia scoreless in the first half, but a trio of goals in the final 45 minutes put the Bulldogs on top.
Both Lancer soccer programs travel to Orange City, Iowa, on Saturday for their next games, taking on Northwestern in a doubleheader beginning at 5:00 PM.
Yankton Bucks and Gazelles Soccer travel to Sioux Falls tonight for a doubleheader against the Washington Warriors.
Tonight’s games are the last of the regular season for Yankton, as the Bucks and Gazelles look to secure home field in next week’s opening round of the Class AA soccer playoffs.
The Gazelles play first at 4:00 PM, with the Bucks to follow.
Yankton Gazelles Volleyball is back in Sioux Falls tonight, as they take on Sioux Falls Christian.
Tonight’s match is the 4th of 5 straight road matches for the Gazelles, and their second straight match in Sioux Falls.
First serve is set for 7:00 PM this evening at Sioux Falls Christian High School.
Mount Marty Volleyball is back in action tomorrow night, taking on the Dordt Defenders in Sioux Center, Iowa.
The near week off for the Lancers since their win over Waldorf on Saturday is the longest stretch of rest for the team in over a month.
First serve from Sioux Center is set for 7:30 PM tomorrow night.
Yankton Cross Country travels to South Sioux City, Nebraska, today for a competition at the Jeffrey C Dible Soccer Complex.
The girls’ varsity race is scheduled to begin at 1:00 PM with the boys’ race beginning at 1:30.
Yankton Bucks Football makes their longest road trip of the year tomorrow afternoon, as they take on Sturgis Brown at Woodle Field.
The Bucks are 4-1 entering their matchup with the Scoopers, sitting 1st in both the media and coaches polls for Class 11AA. Sturgis is 3-2 on the year, ranked 5th in the media poll, and receiving votes in the coaches poll.
Kickoff from Sturgis is set for 7:00 PM Central. Pregame coverage with Brayden Butler and Josh Boelter begins at 6:00 PM tomorrow night on KYNT and KYNTV.
Mount Marty Football looks to rebound coming off their bye week, as they welcome the #19-ranked Concordia Bulldogs to Yankton on Saturday.
The Lancers are 3-1 on the year, coming off a loss to Briar Cliff two weeks ago. The Bulldogs are coming off a dominant performance last week in a 54-0 shutout win over Waldorf.
