Yankton Bucks football looks to remain undefeated tonight, as they host the Douglas Patriots at Crane-Youngworth Field
The Bucks are 2-0 on the season, coming off a 52-26 win over the defending state champion Watertown Arrows last week.
The Bucks were recognized for their hot start earlier this week, earning 23 of 25 first-place votes in the latest 11AA media polls.
Kickoff from Yankton is scheduled for 7:00 PM tonight. Pregame coverage on KYNT and KYNTV begins at 6:00. Brayden Butler and Josh Boelter will be on the call.
Mount Marty Football has their home opener tomorrow afternoon, as they host the Northwestern Red Raiders at Crane-Youngworth Field.
The Lancers are 2-0 on the season, 1-0 in GPAC play, coming off a 35-10 win over Waldorf last week.
Through the first two weeks of the season, the Lancers are averaging 36 points per game, and over 400 yards of total offense.
Kickoff is scheduled for 1:00 PM tomorrow afternoon with pregame coverage beginning at noon. Steve Thum and Tehl Tanner will be on the call.
The Yankton Gazelles tied for 4th in dance and placed 7th in cheer at last night’s home invitational at the Summit Activities Center.
The Gazelles dance team scored 35 to tie for 4th, led by a 3rd place finish in Jazz. Yankton scored 195.50 to take 7th in cheer.
Next up for Yankton is an invite in Brookings on September 20th. Competition begins at 11:00 AM.
Mount Marty Volleyball travels to Crete, Nebraska tomorrow afternoon for a GPAC matchup with the Doane Tigers.
The Lancers are 6-5 on the season, coming off a five-set match against the #17 ranked Midland Warriors, where MMU fell 3-2.
First serve is set for 1:00 PM tomorrow afternoon.
Yankton Bucks Golf has a home invitational this morning at Hillcrest Golf and Country Club.
Fifteen other schools are scheduled to compete in the event. Tee time is set for 10:00 AM.
Yankton Bucks and Gazelles Cross Country travels to Brandon tomorrow for an invitational at McHardy Park.
The boys’ varsity 5k is set to begin at 9:30 AM, with the girls’ varsity 5k scheduled for 9:55.
