The warm humid weather during the first week of school led to the discovery of some mold at Yankton Middle School. Y-M-S Principal Dr. Heather Olson says the situation has already been resolved.
Olson says in addition to the mold in the locker room a few classrooms were also affected, but cleaners were brought in to make sure the area was inspected, contained, and cleaned professionally. Olson says she appreciates the efforts of the staff and outside services that handled the situation so quickly and that all operations at Y-M-S are back to normal.
