Both Alias Reed and Kaylynn Sweazy appeared in court in Knox County on Tuesday.
Reed allegedly shot and killed two men, Curtis Strom, 77, and William Reffett, 49, last February.
Sweazy appeared first on Tuesday and was sentenced to a minimum of five years with a maximum of up to 10 years on a charge of attempted evidence tampering.
Sweazy also was sentenced to a minimum of a year with a maximum of two years on a charge of accessory to a felony.
Sweazy must serve a mandatory two and a half years before parole, and at least five years before mandatory release.
Reed appeared after Sweazy, with his trial set for next month beginning July 14th.
With motions for a change of venue and to suppress evidence still up in the air, both the defense and the state agreed to hold another hearing before trial.
That hearing is scheduled for Friday at 11:30 a.m. in Madison County.
