Yankton Junior Eden Wolfgram has been named an All-State Honorable Mention for Class AA Girls Basketball.
Wolfgram led the offense, scoring 13.3 points per game, as the Gazelles improved from 1-19 last season to 8-13 this year with a SoDak 16 appearance.
This is the second straight year that Wolfgram has earned an All-State Honorable Mention.
Mount Marty Baseball opens their four-game series with Dordt tomorrow afternoon, as they host the Defenders in a doubleheader at Riverside Field.
The Lancers currently hold a 12-15 overall record, 3-5 in GPAC play, coming off back-to-back losses to Briar Cliff last Saturday.
Game one is scheduled for 1:00 PM tomorrow afternoon, with game two to follow. Pregame coverage on KYNT and KYNTV begins at 12:30.

Yankton Track and Field returns to action on Friday for the Mount Marty Indoor Invitational at the Ruth Donahoe First Dakota Fieldhouse.
Yankton opened their track and field season on March 17th. During that event, Quinn Brinkman and Cale Haselhorst set new high school facility records for the Ruth Donahoe First Dakota Fieldhouse. Brinkman in the high jump, clearing 5-5 1/2, and Haselhorst in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.33 seconds.
Events on Friday are scheduled to begin at 10:00 AM.
Yankton Bucks Tennis opens their season on Friday with a trilogy of matches at Sioux Park in Rapid City.
The Bucks will face Rapid City Central at noon, Rapid City Stevens at 3:00 PM, and Spearfish at 6:00 PM. All match times are listed in Mountain Time.
Mount Marty Track and Field will travel to Wayne, Nebraska, tomorrow for their first outdoor competition of the 2026 season.
The Lancers are coming off a successful indoor season, which saw them finish 5th (men’s) and 8th (women’s) at the GPAC Championships.
The Wayne State College Wildcat Classic will begin at 10:00 AM on Friday morning, with competitions concluding on Saturday.
Mount Marty Women’s Golf ends their winter hiatus on Friday, as they will compete in the Graceland Invitational.
The two-day event will be held at the Mozingo Lake Golf Course in Maryville, Missouri. Tee time for Friday is set for noon.
The South Dakota-Nebraska High School Basketball All-Star Game will be held this Sunday at Cimpl Arena in Yankton.
The event will consist of a girls’ game at 2:00 PM and a boys’ game at 4:00. Several area athletes are set to compete. Members of the boys’ teams include Yankton’s Owen Eidsness, Freeman’s Tate Sorensen, and Viborg-Hurley’s Brady Schroedermeier.
The girls’ rosters include Cedar Catholic’s Addison Walter, Crofton’s Jaisie Janssen, and Wynot’s Addison Sharpe.
Mount Marty recruits Anna Binde of Tea Area, Drew Terkildsen of Philip, and Halle Peterson of Rapid City Stevens will also compete in the girls’ game.
The South Dakota Coyotes take on Pepperdine this evening in the “Super 16” round of the WNIT.
The Coyotes and the Waves squared off earlier this season in Malibu, California. Pepperdine would defeat USD 73-65.
Tip-off between the Coyotes and the Waves is scheduled for 7:00 PM this evening at the Sanford Coyote Sports Center in Vermillion.
