Yankton County has entered a permanent burn ban until further notice.
Yankton County Emergency Management Director Paul Scherschligt, says despite the county receiving snowfall this week, it wasn’t enough moisture to avoid the ban.
Scherschligt says the ban will remain in place until the county receives a significant amount of moisture.
